2024 Digital Equity Spark Grants Funding Cycle Webinar
The Michelson 20MM Foundation held a 2024 Digital Equity Spark Grants Funding Cycle informational webinar on May 16th. The grant proposal window will be open from May 28, 2024, to June 11, 2024. This funding cycle aims to support projects that implement systems-level strategies with the potential to make a significant, scalable impact in California.
Milken Institute Honors Dr. Gary Michelson With Tommy Lasorda Leadership Award
Dr. Michelson was presented with the sixth Lasorda Leadership Award by Milken Institute Chairman Michael Milken at the 2024 Global Gourmet Games benefit at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on May 4. Previous honorees include pioneers in business, medicine, sports, and philanthropy: Dr. Richard Merkin, Joe Torre, Precious & Patrice Motsepe, Cindy Citrone, and Igor Tulchinsky.

Through their organizations and support for life-saving efforts, the pair worked closely to expand spay and neuter services throughout Los Angeles. When Erika passed in 2022, the Michelson Found Animals Foundation (MFA) stewarded the Robert & Erika Brunson Fund to continue the legacy of Erika and her husband Bob.
